About Me

I’m an English music journalist, music historian and author. Derek and the Dominos: A Live Performance History will be my first major book publication, however past projects include a collection of interviews from famous blues musicians and a history of the blues genre and it’s influence on modern popular music.

I write regular articles and features covering varying aspects of music history. They include my BOOTLEG SERIES, CLASSIC ALBUM SERIES and OPINION PIECES as well as in-depth columns where I focus on specific moments from music history. I specialise in the blues and rock genres with Eric Clapton and The Allman Brothers Band being two of my main focuses.

I am also an experienced interviewer, having interviewed a wide range of people including Dave Rowntree of Blur, ex-Allman Brothers Band road manager Willie Perkins, Bobby Whitlock, Samantha Fish and Joanne Shaw Taylor.
