The Beatles Isolated Bass & Drum Tracks: Day Tripper

Recorded during the Rubber Soul album sessions, Day Tripper was released in December 1965 as a double A-side along with We Can Work It Out. From a personal point of view it’s one of my favourite Beatles songs so hearing any part of it isolated is fantastic. What we have here are the isolated bass and drum tracks. Take a listen:

As you can hear the electric guitar does bleed through a little bit but you’re able to hear the bass and drums clearer than you would in the actual studio version. McCartney’s bass sound is absolutely sublime to say the least, so fresh and clean sounding, and Ringo on drums is holding down the song in a way only he can. These two tracks are fantastic to hear and really open up the song ever more.
