The Beatles Isolated Drum Track: Taxman

When it comes to drummers I don’t think there’s one as underrated as Ringo Starr, at least when it comes to public perception. However listening to Ringo’s drumming in the form of an isolated track is the best way to fully understand his ability and and contributions in The Beatles. What we have here is his isolated drum track from Taxman. Enjoy!

  1. Jim says:

I don’t think he’s a great drummer, but he’s a good drummer that reflects his era. All you had to do to be a drummer in a rock band in the early 60’s was do a drum roll. Do that and you’re in. None of the Beatles were master musicians, but they were multi-instrumentalists that could play several instruments well. It was about the song, not who could play the flashiest.
