The Beatles Isolated Drum Track: Oh! Darling

Originally rehearsed during the Get Back sessions, The Beatles properly started recording the song during the Abbey Road album sessions on the 20th April 1969. Paul’s vocals are one of the most memorable things about the song but Ringo’s drums are absolutely exceptional, and below is the isolated drums in all their glory.

When it comes to drummers there are very few that manage to stand out from the crowd, and Ringo is certainly one that does. His fills, his playing, it couldn’t be anyone else. One of my favourite parts of this particular drum track is the fantastic fills he plays after each verse, leading into the next section. Exquisite is a word that doesn’t do it justice.
