SONG REVIEW: Bob Dylan – Melancholy Mood

Originally recorded by Frank Sinatra as the b-side to his first single in 1939, Melancholy Mood is the first song to be released from Bob Dylan’s soon to be released album Fallen Angels. It’s a beautiful song with some of the best recorded music you’ll ever hear, a fine tribute to the late Sinatra. Take a listen for yourself:

As expected from 21st century Bob Dylan, the music is sublime. Every album he has released this century has sounded exquisite and Melancholy Mood from Fallen Angels is no exception. His voice fits the music perfectly and you’re left with an incredible musical landscape that you, the listener, glide over effortlessly. The rest of the album will be in the same vein of course which will result in yet another classic album from Dylan.

Fallen Angels is set for release on the 20th May.
