The Beatles Isolated Vocal Track: Hey Bulldog

Recorded on the 11th February 1968, Hey Bulldog is a song penned by John Lennon which ended up on the Yellow Submarine soundtrack album. The song came out during the recording of the Lady Madonna promotional film and was fully recorded in a 10 hour session and features one of John’s most memorable vocal takes, made extra special by Paul’s random barking noises which were then left in the original song. Hearing this isolated is a real joy.

Have a listen:

The great thing about hearing this in isolated form is that you’re able to listen to the barking noises made by Paul a lot better. This is probably the prime example of being able to hear the fun going on in the studio during the recording of a Beatles song, absolutely fantastic.
